All the oak I work with is sourced from sections of mature trees damaged by storms. I process the branches myself and carefully dry the wood before crafting each piece. Where possible, I preserve the natural bark on larger branches, often incorporating clear resin to highlight its texture and beauty. This also creates translucent "windows" that offer glimpses from the interior to the exterior of the bowl. Some pieces are further enhanced with inlays of coloured resin, pewter, or brass.
